What to Expect

A closer look at how your care works

Booking is straightforward

You can book a consultation directly online, any day of the week. Our booking process is secure and takes only a few minutes. No GP referral is required. Choose a time, enter your details, and you will receive a confirmation with everything you need to know before your appointment.

Your initial consultation is unhurried

Your first appointment is a minimum of 30 minutes. Your AHPRA-registered clinician will review your medical history, current medications, lifestyle factors, and what you are hoping to address. There is time for your questions. Nothing is rushed or skipped. You will leave the appointment with a clear understanding of what your care plan may involve and why.

Your care plan is built around your health picture

Following your consultation, your clinician develops a care plan tailored to your health history, goals, and lifestyle. There are no single template applied. Your care plan is developed around your individual health history and goals. Where treatment is clinically suitable, prescriptions are issued electronically and sent to a compounding pharmacy on your behalf. Medications are dispensed and delivered directly to you. You do not need to visit a GP or a chemist to get started.

Ongoing follow-up is built into every care plan

Follow-up appointments are scheduled as part of your care plan. Your clinician reviews how you are responding to your protocol and may make adjustments based on your individual circumstances. Your care plan is reviewed over time, not set once and left.

Common Questions

Before your first appointment

Do I need a referral?
A referral is not required. Velora operates as a direct-access telehealth service. You can book a consultation without seeing another doctor first. Our clinicians conduct their own full clinical assessment as part of your initial appointment.
What happens during my first consultation?
Your first consultation is focused on building a complete clinical picture. Your clinician will review your medical history, current medications and supplements, lifestyle factors, and what you are hoping to address. There is space for your questions throughout. By the end of the appointment, you will have a clear sense of what your care plan may involve and the reasoning behind it.
How long is a consultation?
Initial consultations are a minimum of 30 minutes. Follow-up appointments are typically 15 to 20 minutes. The longer initial appointment allows your clinician to conduct a thorough review of your history, understand your goals, and determine what care options may be appropriate for your circumstances.
What should I prepare before my consultation?
It helps to have a list of your current medications and supplements, a brief summary of your relevant health history, any recent test results if you have them, and a note of the symptoms or concerns you want to discuss. Coming prepared allows your clinician to conduct a more thorough and focused assessment from the start.
Can I see the same clinician each time?
We aim to provide continuity of care wherever possible. Seeing the same clinician for your follow-up appointments means your clinical relationship develops over time, your history does not need to be repeated, and your protocol can be adjusted with full context of how your care has progressed.
How are prescriptions handled?
Where treatment is clinically suitable, prescriptions are issued electronically following your consultation in accordance with Australian regulations. Electronic prescriptions are legally valid across Australia. Your prescription can be sent to a compounding pharmacy directly, with medications dispensed and delivered to your address. You do not need to collect anything in person.
