Your health today shapes your wellbeing tomorrow.

What Is Longevity & Vitality Healthcare?

Longevity healthcare is about more than extending lifespan. It's about supporting your healthspan: the years of life spent in good health, with the ability to remain active, independent and engaged in the activities you enjoy.

As we age, changes in metabolism, muscle mass, bone density, sleep and cardiovascular health can influence how we feel and function.

Many of these changes are influenced by a combination of genetics, lifestyle, medical conditions and environmental factors.

Our Longevity & Vitality pathway takes a comprehensive approach to understanding these influences and identifying opportunities to support your health over time.

Our goal is simple: to help you maintain your health, function and quality of life for as long as possible.

Who It's For

Is this pathway right for you?

You don't need to wait until you're experiencing significant health concerns to prioritise your long-term wellbeing.

Our Key Areas of Focus

Metabolic Health & Weight Management

Metabolic health plays an important role in cardiovascular wellbeing, energy regulation and long-term disease prevention.

Our practitioners can assess factors such as:

  • Blood glucose regulation and insulin resistance
  • Cholesterol and lipid levels
  • Weight and body composition
  • Blood pressure and cardiovascular risk
  • Lifestyle and nutritional habits
  • Family history of metabolic conditions

Where clinically appropriate, your care plan may include targeted investigations, nutritional support, lifestyle interventions or medical management.

Hormonal Health & Vitality

Hormones influence many aspects of health including reproductive function, bone density, metabolism and sexual wellbeing.

Changes in hormonal function may contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, changes in libido or reduced physical wellbeing. However, these symptoms can also have many other causes.

Our practitioners can assess relevant symptoms and determine whether hormonal investigations are clinically indicated.

Where appropriate, management may include lifestyle recommendations, treatment of underlying conditions or referral for specialist assessment.

Hormone treatment is considered only where a recognised clinical indication exists and following an appropriate medical assessment.

Muscle Strength, Bone Health & Mobility

Maintaining muscle strength and physical function is an important part of healthy ageing.

Age-related changes in muscle mass, bone density and mobility can affect balance, independence and everyday activities.

Our approach may include:

  • Assessment of physical activity and functional health
  • Strategies to maintain muscle strength
  • Resistance training recommendations
  • Nutritional guidance, including adequate protein intake
  • Bone health risk assessment
  • Falls prevention and mobility considerations
  • Referral for physiotherapy or other allied health support

We focus on helping you maintain the physical capacity to continue doing the things that matter to you.

Cognitive Health & Mental Wellbeing

Cognitive wellbeing is an important component of healthy ageing.

Sleep, cardiovascular health, physical activity, psychological wellbeing and underlying medical conditions can all influence concentration, memory and cognitive function.

Our practitioners can help assess concerns relating to:

  • Memory and concentration
  • Mental fatigue
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Stress and emotional wellbeing
  • Lifestyle factors influencing cognitive health
  • Potential medical contributors to cognitive symptoms

Where necessary, further investigations or referral to appropriate specialists may be recommended.

Energy, Sleep & Recovery

Quality sleep and adequate recovery are essential for physical health, cognitive performance and everyday wellbeing.

Persistent fatigue or poor recovery may be associated with sleep disorders, nutritional deficiencies, stress, chronic medical conditions or other factors.

Our practitioners can help identify potential contributors and discuss strategies to support:

  • Healthy sleep patterns
  • Energy and fatigue management
  • Stress reduction
  • Physical recovery
  • Nutritional adequacy
  • Sustainable activity and exercise habits

Cardiovascular Health & Disease Prevention

Cardiovascular health is a major contributor to long-term wellbeing.

Our preventative approach considers relevant risk factors including:

  • Blood pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Diabetes risk
  • Smoking and alcohol consumption
  • Physical activity
  • Family history
  • Existing cardiovascular conditions

Your practitioner may recommend appropriate screening, lifestyle interventions or further assessment based on your individual risk profile.

Nutrition & Lifestyle Optimisation

Healthy daily habits form the foundation of long-term wellbeing.

Our approach recognises the importance of sustainable lifestyle changes rather than short-term interventions.

Depending on your individual circumstances, your care plan may include guidance on:

  • Balanced nutrition and adequate protein intake
  • Regular physical activity
  • Resistance and cardiovascular exercise
  • Sleep hygiene
  • Stress management
  • Maintaining social connections
  • Reducing modifiable health risks
  • Establishing sustainable daily routines

Where appropriate, patients may also benefit from Velora's nutrition consultation services.

Comprehensive Health Assessments & Blood Testing

Understand Your Health. Make Informed Decisions.

A personalised health assessment can help identify relevant risk factors, investigate symptoms and guide preventative healthcare decisions.

Depending on your age, medical history and clinical needs, your practitioner may recommend investigations such as:

Metabolic Health

  • Blood glucose and HbA1c
  • Cholesterol and lipid profile
  • Kidney and liver function

Hormonal & Thyroid Health

  • Thyroid function
  • Relevant hormone investigations where clinically indicated

Nutritional & General Health

  • Full blood count
  • Iron studies
  • Vitamin B12 and other selected nutritional markers where appropriate

Cardiovascular & Preventative Health

  • Blood pressure assessment
  • Individual cardiovascular risk assessment
  • Age-appropriate cancer screening
  • Bone density assessment where indicated

Velora HealthConnect also provides access to private pathology services for patients seeking additional health information.

Your practitioner will help determine which investigations are appropriate and explain how the results relate to your individual health circumstances.

Not every test is necessary or beneficial for every patient. Testing is guided by clinical relevance and shared decision-making.

Advanced Health Insights & Preventative Assessments

Looking Beyond Individual Symptoms

For some patients, additional assessments may provide useful information to support health planning.

Depending on clinical circumstances and individual preferences, these may include:

Body Composition Assessment

Body composition monitoring can provide information about changes in weight, estimated fat mass and muscle mass. Results should be interpreted alongside other clinical measures rather than used as a standalone measure of health.

Private Blood Testing

Targeted pathology investigations can help assess relevant metabolic, nutritional and other health markers where clinically appropriate.

Medical Imaging

Diagnostic imaging may be recommended where a recognised clinical indication exists.

Velora also provides access to OneMRI full-body MRI services. Whole-body MRI screening is not routinely recommended for asymptomatic people at average risk because its benefits have not been established and incidental findings can lead to unnecessary follow-up. Your practitioner can discuss the potential benefits, limitations and risks before you make a decision.

Ongoing Health Monitoring

Regular clinical reviews can help assess progress, monitor relevant health indicators and adapt your care plan as your needs change.

Personalised Treatment & Health Optimisation

The Right Approach for Your Individual Needs

There is no single treatment, supplement or intervention that can prevent ageing.

At Velora HealthConnect, we focus on clinically appropriate strategies that support established health priorities.

Your personalised care plan may include:

Lifestyle & Nutritional Interventions

Evidence-informed recommendations to support cardiovascular health, physical function, sleep and metabolic wellbeing.

Medical Management

Where a diagnosed medical condition requires treatment, your practitioner may discuss appropriate therapeutic options, monitoring and follow-up.

Allied Health Support

Coordinated care with nutritionists, physiotherapists or other qualified health professionals where relevant.

Preventative Healthcare

Age-appropriate screening, risk assessment and management of modifiable health factors.

Ongoing Review

Follow-up consultations to assess your progress, review relevant results and adjust your care plan when appropriate.

Our focus is on treatments and strategies that are supported by appropriate clinical evidence and suited to your individual circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions, answered

What is the difference between lifespan and healthspan?

Lifespan refers to the total number of years a person lives. Healthspan describes the years spent in relatively good health, with preserved physical and cognitive function and the ability to participate in everyday activities.

Our pathway focuses on supporting the factors that contribute to healthy ageing and quality of life.

What age should I start thinking about longevity healthcare?

There is no specific age. Preventative healthcare can be beneficial throughout adulthood. The most appropriate assessments and interventions depend on your individual risk factors, medical history and health priorities.

Can longevity healthcare help with fatigue and low energy?

Yes. Our practitioners can assess symptoms of fatigue, consider possible underlying causes and recommend appropriate investigations or management strategies.

Do I need blood tests before my appointment?

No. Your practitioner can determine whether blood tests are necessary after reviewing your medical history, symptoms and health goals.

If you already have recent pathology results, these may be useful during your consultation.

Do you offer hormone optimisation treatments?

Velora provides assessment of hormonal health concerns. Hormonal investigations and treatments are considered only where clinically indicated. Hormone therapy is not recommended solely to counter normal ageing.

Can I access private health assessments?

Yes. Velora offers access to private blood testing and selected health assessment services. Your practitioner can discuss which options may be appropriate and explain their limitations.

Is this pathway suitable if I already have a chronic medical condition?

Potentially. Your practitioner can review your existing conditions and discuss appropriate preventative and supportive strategies. Care may need to be coordinated with your regular GP or specialist.

Can consultations be completed entirely online?

Many consultations and follow-up reviews can be conducted through telehealth. Some health concerns require physical examination, diagnostic procedures or in-person specialist care.

How much does a consultation cost?

Initial consultations are $149.

Follow-up consultations are $69.

Additional pathology, medications, imaging and other services may involve separate fees.
